Where to Watch Original Version Films in Milan?

Updated: Sep 1
Prefer watching films in their original language?
Milan has a varied selection of cinemas offering original version (OV) screenings, from independent and art-house venues to some of the city’s larger multiplexes.
While OV screenings aren’t necessarily available for every film or every day of the week, there are plenty of options across the city, with many cinemas regularly showing international films in their original language, usually with Italian subtitles.
This guide brings together cinemas in and around Milan where OV screenings are a regular part of the programme, along with the days they typically take place, making it easier to plan your next trip to the cinema.
Screening schedules can change from week to week, so we always recommend checking each cinema’s current programme before heading out.
You can also explore our CineMap, an interactive map of cinemas in and around Milan. It includes venues offering OV screenings and information on when these usually take place, as well as cinemas that show films only in the Italian dubbed version.
